Stucco Moisture Testing
|
Many homes and commercial buildings in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area built with stucco. Stucco wall coverings can be problematic if installed incorrectly or lacks proper maintenance.
Moisture in stucco can spread through the covering and throughout the wooden wall cavities. The only way to truly discover if there is elevated moisture is by using an invasive moisture meter. |
|
Our stucco testing method is to drill small holes and then to probe the wall with a specialized moisture meter. The moisture meter will detect either a normal level of moisture or an elevated level of moisture. All the holes are then filled with a matching sealant. The testing does not cause damage to the home.

Stucco Moisture Testing can be a very important tool when deciding whether to purchase a property or not. Our report that we provide will clearly indicate if the stucco has any suspected moisture areas and where these are located on the building. Depending on the levels of moisture found. In some areas it may be recommended to open up the wall covering to further view the extent of damage. |
